chandrakosh
by Adritanaya Tiwari
I see you in the dark, darling
so I swirl a Raag
on my tongue
let out in soft hums
only you can hear,
soon your shadows and mine
will merge into something
the day can never deem real.
I watch it leave
a ghost of a footprint
in the moonlight,
rests waiting so when the sun arrives
it can scare him with a 'Boo!'
I shouldn't be awake
whispering sweet nothings
in your wake but
can you blame me?
It's one of those days again.
You,
make love to the night sky,
but I
fall.
