new meds build dreams of cast-iron hands
and long bus rides through Chicago.
on low days your strawberry water
turns plywood sticky sweet.
we dig up dirty dishes
and they all hum different Torres songs.
every poem is a love poem.
an instructor begs me to rage.
ragged nails & sweater strings.
but even the anger is pomegranate.
even the juice is decentralized.
