Unassigned Love Letter

I imagine we are all only ever asking to be seen,
to have our place in memory, maybe without herculean aspirations
maybe just the slowness of love made in the morning,
or maybe in the sunrise through the kitchen window, 
the whistle of the kettle, the cup steaming in your hands

in the way life piles together: snow on the windowsill.
