Wild dead tattoos

by Oladejo Abdullah Feranmi

Each moment is a monument of a cliff for us to nest

patching these echoes with our echoing of how messy

we can't do anything right. Organized in voice boxes

are books on things left unsung, mouths stacked with

sorrow when grief came reading. Every drop owned

is worth carrying in a sinking jaw everything is a river

flowing nowhere. May we stop playing ourselves to

dance the cocoons in these chests out when we grow

gardens in our best selves.       This soon is a knight

Guiding finally a home

 Beautiful are scars.
